The opening ceremony of GIBH-GMU Joint Bioscience College was successfully held in Guangzhou on May 11, GIBH (Guangzhou Institutes of Biomedicine and Health) Director Prof. PEI Duanqing, GMU (Guangzhou Medical University) Secretary of Party Committee RAN Pixin and GMU President WANG Xinhua attended the ceremony.
The college, aimed at educating creative researchers in biomedicine field, improving the research capability of related subjects and promoting the construction of a high-level university, set up four key subjects including regenerative biology, cell biology, molecular medicine and genetic diagnosis and respiratory physiology.
On the opening ceremony, LUO Jiandong, Deputy Director of GMU announced the establishment and made an introduction of the college, said it is an honorable outcome of the cooperation with GIBH.
Prof. PEI expressed congratulation to the establishment, said that with the valuing of Guangzhou Committee and Government, it is a milestone decision made by both side, and GIBH hold great expectation to the college.
