Delegates of Bill & Miranda Gates Foundation visited GIBH

On the morning of Feb.28th, 2012, Dr. Daniel Chin, the Deputy Director in charge of HIV prevention and TB control for the Bill & Miranda Gates Foundation, China Office, Dr. Mel Spigelman, President and CEO of Global Alliance for TB Drug Development and other 2 scientists visited GIBH. Xiaoping Chen, the Director of Infection and Immunity Center at GIBH received the guests and hosted the discussion.

The purpose of roundtable discussion was to build a partnership with the Global Incubation, R&D and Supply Center of Tuberculosis and Pneumococcal Vaccines Program in Guangzhou and the TB vaccine Program. During the discussion, both sides exchanges views on the R&D of TB vaccines and looked into the prospect of cooperation in this field.
