General Director of the Croucher Foundation David Foster visited GIBH

On Feb.20th, 2012, General Director of the Croucher Foundation, David Foster and Xingen Zhang the Director of the Cross-straits Science and Technology Collaboration Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), visited GIBH to discuss potential collaborations. GIBH’s Chief Techology Officer, Micky Tortorella hosted the reception.

The purpose of Mr. David Foster’s visit was to inspect GIBH and other CAS based institutes to determine opportunities for collaboration and refine a framework between the Croucher Foundation and CAS to promote the cooperation between the research institutes in HK with institutes in CAS. During the discussion, Micky gave a brief introduction of GIBH and its ongoing cooperation and exchanges with HK counterparts while Mr. David Foster introduced the operation of the Croucher Foundation. Both sides exchanged views on the selection of project proposals and looked into the prospect of developing substantial partnership with each other.
