Vice Chairman of National People's Congress SANG Weiguo Inspect GIBH

Vice Chairman of National People’s Congress SANG Guowei inspected GIBH at 30th May. Members of “New Drug Discovery” project evaluation panel accompanied his visit. Director General PEI Duanqing welcomed the guests.

PEI Duanqing gave detailed presentation of academic development, particularly new drug discovery and public technology platform; highlighting the latest advancement of Drug Discovery Pipeline (DDP) system. Vice Chairman SANG Guowei pointed out that, biopharmaceutical industry is one of the six national innovative strategic industries; new drug is recognized as one of the 16 National Special Projects. National Special Projects will continue to support both innovative drug discovery and new drug structure construction. Vice Chairman expected GIBH to integrate basic research and outcome transfer/industrialization and make contribution to boosting national and local economy.

After the meeting, Vice Chairman inspected DDP labs and public instrument center.
