IUSM Visits GIBH

September 11, 2007, a delegation of the Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM), led by Dr. Craig Brater, the Vice President of the University and Dean of the School of Medicine, made a visit to GIBH.
Dr. Ling Chen, Director General and Dr. Duanqing Pei, Deputy Director General of GIBH extended warm welcome to the seven-member delegation and briefed them about GIBH regarding its history, management, latest development, etc. Also in the meeting, friendly communications and exchanges were held between the two parties
The IUSM delegation also visited various laboratories, and was deeply impressed by the rapid development achieved at GIBH during the past three years.
The other members of the IUSM delegation include: Gerry Oxford, a professor in Pharmacology & Toxicology, Executive Director of Stark Neurosciences Research Institute; Simon J. Rhodes, Associate Dean of Graduate studies at IUSM, and also professor of the Department of Cellular & Integrative Physiology; Zhong-yin Zhang, Robert A. Harris Professor and Chairman of the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology; Johnny He, a professor of Immunology & Microbiology, Director of Cent for AIDS Research; Jian-ting Zhang, a professor of Phamacology and Toxicology; and Zao-cheng Xu, a professor of Anatomy & Cell Biology in the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology.
