Research Areas

Dr. Zheng and his group focused on the mechanisms underlying different cell fate conversion processes, including somatic cell reprogramming, differentiation and trans-differentiation. The studies are related to cell biology, neuroscience, epigenetics, and pharmacology.

Academic Performance

Dr. Zheng and his group were supported by several programs from National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), including the Science Fund for Creative Research Groups, the National Science Fund for Excellent Young Scholars, the Key program project, the Major program project and the General program project.

Dr. Zheng has published 35 manuscripts. He published 24 manuscripts as corresponding or co-corresponding author on Nat Cell Biology, PNAS, Biol PsychiatryNeuropsychopharmacolJ Neurosci and so on. He published 23 manuscripts as co-authors. The Total impact factors of these manuscripts is over 200, and the citations of these manuscripts are over 800.

Dr. Zheng was the editor of IUBMB Life, Cell Regeneration, Frontiers in Cellular Endocrinology. He also severed or serves as the abstract reviewer of the annual meeting (2014) of International Society of Stem Cell Research, external reviewer of Research Grant Council GC (Hongkong), and the reviewer of grants from other department.
