GIBH Delegation Visited Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology

      On June 6, the GIBH delegation led by Dr. Ling CHEN, Director General and Mr. Jianchong HUANG, CPC Secretary and Deputy Director General of GIBH visited Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology (SIAT), Chinese Academy of Sciences.

      SIAT is a new research body co-established by CAS and the Shenzhen local government last February.  For the past year, SIAT has achieved fruitful results in the development and construction of the institute.

      GIBH, as a new research institution of a similar type that was co-established and invested by both CAS and the local government, has a lot in common with SIAT in managerial mechanism, talents recruitment, integration of advanced technologies, industrialization as well as S&T development, while maintaining its own characteristics.

      During the discussion, both parties exchanged experience and ideas in such aspects as talents recruitment, technology transfer, institutional construction, etc. It was mutually agreed upon that communications and cooperation would be further accelerated between the two institutes, so as to make more productive contributions to the national and local economy and social development.

      After the meeting, the delegation also paid an on-site visit at SIAT’s administration offices, labs of various research centers, and exhibition rooms.
