Transcription factor Hoxb5 reprograms B cells into functional T lymphocytes

Regenerated T cells by in vivo reprogramming may provide new resource for T cell therapy.Scientists at the Guangzhou Institutes of Biomedicine and Health, CAS, China, have developed a simple technique to generate functional T cells in vivo by lineage reprogramming. The regenerated T cells can build T immune system in T-deficient animals, and produce immunological memory, which is beneficial for T cell therapy.JOURNAL Nature Immunology
