Overview

It has a storage center covering over 1,000 square meters in the Guangzhou Development Zone, with a cell storage capacity of approximately 20,000 cell lines, capable of accommodating 480,000 1.2-2 mL cryopreservation tubes. Additionally, the cell bank is equipped with a GMP production workshop, a standardized cell testing laboratory platform, a programmable cooling system, and a CellSOP cell cryopreservation management system. These facilities ensure effective circulation and high-quality management of cells throughout their lifecycle.

The   Center focuses on preserving cell resources from the South China region, including those from unique ethnic groups and populations, as well as new or specific cell resources developed by research teams and related omics information (genomics, transcriptomics, epigenomics, and proteomics). The Center has established over 500 cell lines, including those derived from healthy individuals, disease sources (such as thalassemia, Huntington's disease, and Parkinson's disease), and gene-edited models.
