Overview

The Center for Development and Regeneration focuses on analyzing the fundamental principles of organ evolution and development in both physiological and pathological conditions. Our work involves the development, optimization, and application of innovative technologies, including stem cell reprogramming, gene editing, and embryonic chimerism. We address significant genetic diseases and tumors, reconstruct the signaling pathways involved in tissue damage, and investigate mechanisms to enhance tissue self-repair. Additionally, we are dedicated to advancing theories and methodologies surrounding organ regeneration, with an emphasis on addressing challenges related to immune exclusion and the shortage of donors in organ transplantation.


The center is committed to uncovering new principles of organ development and refining technologies across various levels, from molecules to cells, tissues, and entire organs. Our goal is to provide novel theories and methods for the intervention and treatment of critical diseases. Leveraging the advanced scientific facilities centered on the human cell lineage atlas, we prioritize "cell lineage atlas analysis and intervention" as a key focus in cutting-edge science and technology to foster the progression of regenerative medicine.


Research

The total number of archive thesis-related data exceeds 100, and the number of national science and technology program projects exceeds 40. Accumulated biological multi-omics data exceeds 1.5PB. by the Institute and domestic and foreign scientific research projects and theses and journals and to promote open sharing of scientific data and guarantee the safety and reliability of scientific data. It promotes the open sharing of scientific data, ensures the safety and control of scientific data, and supports national scientific and technological innovation and economic and social development.
