Prof Pei Duanqing was elected as 2015 Chinese Annual Technology Innovator

 

Recently, The 10 winners of 2015 Chinese Annual Technology Innovator award have been revealed in China Central Television. This is one of the most prestigious award in China’s science and technology sector. 7 individuals and 3 scientific teams have won this amazing and honorable title, including Nobel prize winner Tu Youyou together with other six remarkable scientists, as well as The New Generation of Bei-Dou Navigation Satellite Research Team and other two scientific research teams. Prof Pei Duanqing, director of Guangzhou Institutes of Biomedicine and Health, is one of the winner.


This terrific scientific ceremony was launched by China Central Television and Chinese Academy of Sciences, co-organized by Ministry of Education, Ministry of Science and Technology, Chinese Academy of Engineering, China Association of Science and Technology, National Natural Science Foundation of China, National Defense Science and Technology Industry Bureau. The Election Committee, comprising representatives from the sponsor, academician, media, academic society and other different sectors, are of strong authority and credibility. After three rounds of evaluation, the top ten most influential technology innovation scientists or teams were elected from 82 validly nominated candidates by the election committee.


The grand award ceremony of 2015 Annual Technology Innovator has gathered the top scientists and the latest achievements of technical innovations in China, provided a scientific banquet for mass audiences, and highlighting the leading role of innovation in the process of science and technology creation.

2015 Chinese Annual Technology Innovation Scientists: Tu Youyou, Chen Wei, Pei Duanqing, Liu Jing, Zhou Tao, Xing Ji, Wu Ximing.
