On March. 5, Prof. Guohui SU, the Academician and his wife, and Prof. Wutian Wu of the Medical School, Hong Kong University visited GIBH. They were warmly welcomed by Prof. Duanqing PEI, Director General, and Prof. Donghai WU, Assistant Director General and the core faculty of the South-China Institute of Stem Cells and Regeneration Medicine of GIBH .
During the meeting, Prof. Pei introduced to the visitors about the Institute, regarding its development and research priorities. Both sides discussed and exchanged ideas on the proposed collaborations of mutual interest, in particular, in the area of stem cell research.
It is expected that the disease models would be established at HKU adopting the iPS technology at GIBH through collaboration.
