Minister of Science and Technology Inspects GIBH

On the afternoon of November 8, 2007, Mr. Gang WAN, the Minister of Science and Technology, PRC made an inspection visit at GIBH, accompanied by the Executive Vice Governor of Guangdong Province, Mayor and Vice Mayor of Guangzhou, the Director General of the Department of Science and Technology of Guangdong Province as well as the Secretary General of the Guangzhou Science and Technology Development District.

Minister Wan listened to the report by Director General Ling CHEN in the meeting, about the GIBH regarding its foundation, mission and goals, talents recruitment, as well as the technological strategies and recent development. After the meeting, the Minister and his entourage paid a visit at the institute facility, and had a cordial talk with the lab researchers.

Minister Wan praised the achievement at the newly established institute for the past three years, and expressed his high expectations on the future development of GIBH.
