Center for Infection & ImmunityCenter for Infection and Immunity mainly targets the major global infectious diseases: AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria and hepatitis C. Center is focused on the study of disease etiology (HIV, TB, malaria parasite and HCV), pathogenic mechanism and immunology, in an effort to develop innovative vaccines and new therapeutic medications. A distinctive characteristic of Center is exploration of co-infection and interaction between infectious diseases, taking advantage of non-human primate animal models. As a result, infectious immunology and pathogenic patterns of emerging diseases will be looked into from a different and unique perspective.
